Realtors®: Take Time To Analyze Now To Create Social Media Success

Analyzing now to create social media success

It is time to analyze now to create social media success in 2022. I don’t need to tell you that the real estate market has been crazy for the past two years. In fact, it is hard to keep up with all you have to do to keep your business flowing.

We are already making plans to ring in 2022.

It is common practice for real estate agents to review their numbers. For example, you analyze the sales volume, written contracts, closed contracts, income, and expenses.

Your year-end review should include some other considerations to create social media success in the new year. As a result, reviewing these items can help you ease into the new year with a roadmap for your social media success.

The items I recommend you pay attention to now are an audit of your social platforms, a review of your social media analytics, your content and how it performed, and email management. These areas may be easy to overlook but are very important in your social media strategy going forward.

Start with an audit of your social media platforms.

Review each social media platform you own, whether you use them or not. Make sure there is consistency in your image, cover image, color palette, logos, bio, and website link. You can find more tips on social media bios and profiles here. If you have multiple profiles on a single platform, you need to consolidate it for easier management for you and less confusion for your clients. Finally, determine which you will use in 2022 for your real estate business.

Next, you want to look at your analytics.

Reviewing your social media analytics will help you see what worked and what didn’t work in your social media strategy. Remember, this doesn’t need to be complicated.

Areas to review:

Engagement

Is your audience commenting, liking, and sharing your content? Does a specific type of content seem to receive more engagement than others?

Click-Throughs

A click-through is driving people to your website through a social media post.  Are you able to get people to your website from your social media posts? Which posts were more successful at accomplishing that goal?

Growth

Did your audience grow over the past year? The objective is to grow your client base, so it is essential to gain new followers.

Paid social media advertising

If you use paid social media advertising, you need to monitor its effectiveness. Surprisingly, paid social ads can quickly get expensive. Are you getting any leads or engagement from your ads? What is your cost per lead?

Performance

Which platforms do you receive the most engagement from?

Each platform has an analytical tool you can use to gather your page analytics:

Facebook Insights

Instagram Insights

Twitter Analytics

LinkedIn Analytics

YouTube Analytics

After reviewing your 2021 analytics, you are ready to prepare for your 2022 social media content strategy. First, determine which platforms and content worked best for you. Next, consider whether to drop any platforms that didn’t perform well. Finally, review the content that received the most engagement and build your content strategy around those pieces.
